EXPERIENCE:

I began my familiarization and tactical training with firearms with my enlistment into the United States Marine Corps in 1977 to 1980 where I reached the rank of Corporal (E-4). I have received numerous awards while in the Marine Corps. My MOS/Job was a heavy vehicle operator/driver of many different types of vehicles. Hauling ammunition, Personnel & Cargo and was the personal driver for one of the Base Colonels. I was a rifle sharpshooter and received an Honorable Discharge.

I have been in the Security and Law Enforcement / Asset Protection Business for 40 years, beginning in 1982 where I entered the Police Academy and started my Law Enforcement career. My law enforcement experience spanned for 14 years, which all was in Northern California. During my career, I have worked as a Patrol Officer, Vice Unit, Undercover, Gang Unit, Field Training Officer (FTO) and an Instructor in Arrest Control Techniques and the ASP Tactical Baton. I possess specialized training in pursuit and defensive driving. At the end of my law enforcement career, my highest rank held was Lieutenant.

I have worked in the private sector as an Executive Protection Specialist off and on since 1987. Those industries included, but not limited to; Contract Security (armed and unarmed) Hotel/Hospitality, Commercial & Residential, Retail loss prevention, and Talent/Executive Protection. Additionally, I have been trained and I’m an experienced Firefighter, Engineer (Driver of fire apparatus) and I retired in 2017 as a Firefighter with a Paramedic certification/license.

I hold a certificate from the LaSorsa & Associates Executive Protection Agent Training Course. The course consisted of: Firearms, Executive Protection, Protective Medical Techniques, and Defensive & Evasive Driving Course. 

Additionally, I have also obtained a certificate from the LaSorsa & Associates Security Consulting Course. 

I earned a certificate from the R. L. Oatman & Associates, Inc. Dignitary & Executive Protection Program, which is nationally certified by IADLEST.

As an experienced protection strategist, I am intimately familiar with the operational, customer service and administrative aspects of the Executive Protection and security industries. Along with my experience and training, I have a professional demeanor and appearance, as well as calm and approachable personal traits.

I possess licenses to carry a concealed weapon (CCW) in the following states: California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Florida. These permits are valid in 38 States, Nationwide.

I have a valid/current California, Class A Driver’s License as well as a valid/current U.S. Passport.
